I went to Aceh!
Aceh was a good experience. Our flight was a little late, so we arrived at Aceh around late evening and the flight was only one hour plus so, it felt like going to Kuala Lumpur, maybe nearer.
Anyways, we arrived and went to the beach
Okay, I can't remove the panorama symbol and I don't know why. Anyways, I went here first and the beach was beautiful. We ate seafood a lot as well and it was really yummy. I would have taken a picture but I was too hungry, I forgot about it.
Then we prayed Asr at one of the Mosque that wasn't destroyed during the Tsunami.
A very beautiful Mosque, I might add!
The one on the right is the Tok Imam of the mosque. we sat here listening to him talking about his experience during the Tsunami. How everyone climb the top of the mosque to be safe from the water. Some were carried away to the mountains and survived.
The next day, we went to the Tsunami Museum! It was so beautiful. Really!
The design of this Museum symbolizes Tsunami, I think.
This was a very scary experience as the purpose was to make us see how high up was the tsunami. As we walked further, it was completely dark just like how the Tsunami was. Although I'm positive this was nothing as compared to the real thing.
After the dark tunnel, we were welcomed by a very bright natural lighting with flags all over the world decorating the roof. It was to show after the tsunami, came the light after the darkness with the help of these countries! beautiful, isn't it? So smart!
Unfortunately, we couldn't see the rest of the museum (theater and stuff) cause of blackout. We tried to come the next day but there was another blackout, as well as the next day!
After the Tsunami Museum, we went to this place right here! This was so huge, I swear! This was although the aftermath of the tsunami, I think. There's a museum in the generator but I didn't go in cause I was tired already and it was quite hot.
Then, we went to another boat house. Not a boat house but boat that landed on a house during the tsunami!
We went to Rumah Aceh, the Aceh Museum but it was closed so I just took photo with this. That was my mum is the picture!
Now, food time!
The food was quite satisfying. The Avocado juice is really awesome! That was my only source of liquid when I was there.
The prawns are just so good!
I really recommend Lem Bakrie cause it is really cheap for the amount of food consumed!
This drink is really refreshing! I forgot what was it called
What should be in the list if you are going to Aceh is definitely Ayam Tangkep or ayam tangkap.
They will have to catch, literally a chicken and cook it!
Just as we arrived at the airport to go back to Malaysia, I asked my brother to stand under that sign and waved. (okay, lame. or you just don't get it)
Bye Aceh, I definitely will come back for Ayam Tangkep and Avocado Juice!
