For the first time ever, I chose the top bunk instead of the lower one.
Why? It is because I was (sort of) late for my registration.
I ended up sleeping on it for two months.
Alhamdulillah it was a short semester or I would have died.
Oh, that picture? You must be wondering why I have included this picture, right? (no)
This was the wall I see everyday for two months. My back was literally glued against that wall until, until.. I realized the "breathe right" that was pasted on the wall.
I never even want to put my feet against the wall anymore.
Usually, I would put my leg against the wall in order to absorb the coolness of it (Malaysia so hot).
Even at night, no, morning, I showered to cool my body (3 am? 4 am?)
I even bought a really really small fan but still sweating all night long
Pretty cute fan hewhew
Since I was only taking one subject, a hard one.
My first few weeks were filled with doing pretty useless things like
watching movies, staring outside the window, karaoke-ing endlessly with my friends or sleep
On good days, I will update my journal (or at least try to).
I left it empty for too long
pretty wall I have there, eh?
On one weekend, I took the liberty to go back to the comfort zone (WiFi)
and I bought salad to keep myself healthy and probably a way to remind me of home instead of eating rice with chicken "swimming" in oil.
Then, I realized how lazy I was. I thought of going down and eat a proper meal but instead I ate salad for three days straight almost every meal, if not instant noodle.
definitely healthy!
This two months taught me how to live without laptop (to be more specific, games)
It is not that I play game often, in fact I rarely do.
I needed a new hobby and since I have left writing for so long.. I decided to write?
I tried?
After a month of torture in my not-so-lovely campus, I fell into disaster (is that even the right usage?)
On one lovely evening, I decided to stay in campus. Why? Because I had midterm exam.
I had fever, accompanied by unbearable headache (panadol no use.)
later, I was covered with red spots all over my body (literally). My roommates, my dear roommates (Uswa, Pokes and Hajar) and friend (Yana <3) kept checking me up, almost every hour. One by one, they will check my temperature, forced me to eat. They suspected me of having dengue and I was in the denial stage.
I was still sick on Monday and my body hurts, I didn't study at all and I had tasmik at the end of the week. I had 17 verse to memorize with translation, not including another 3-4 verse of midterm.
After I went to see the doctor, took blood test, I was asked to go back to the clinic. I went and was told that I have dengue. I cried, well, not exactly. It was just a few tears. I was alone and I'm homesick. I told my family and brother said "Welcome to the club, soon they will take your blood every hour". He was formally a dengue patient too, worse, way worse than my condition. My brother was hospitalized for almost a month.
Anyways, I had to go to a proper hospital, going back and forth on my own except for the first day, taking blood for tests every single day for 10 days, but Alhamdulillah I didn't need to be hospitalized. That one day, probably the 7th day of dengue, the nurse couldn't take anymore blood (from the same spot everyday), from sitting down, she stood up. I could see the needle moving under my skin, I was too weak to even react to the pain. haha
The good news was my mother came to take care of me. I mean, dengue is very serious and deadly. Everyone at home were panicking. My parents and siblings called me endlessly (love them so much)
My father panicked the most, I guess, he literally took all the leaves of our papaya trees to my mum,for me.
For what? To make it into a freaking JUICE.
Is it nice? NO! HUGE NOOOOOOO
I hated every sip. It was very bitter and I felt like crying whenever my mum forced me to drink it,
There was one day where my blood result was very alarming so my mother blended so many fruits and papaya leaves for me and I had to force myself to drink it all (quite a torture)
Alhamdulillah the next day my blood result was really good. My red blood cell was 168 and the doctor told me that I was fine already.
My mum kept on telling me it was the papaya leaves (maybe?) I don't know but all I cared at that time was I'm fine.
I went back home and played Dota (Thanks Kimmy for your laptop)
AFTER A LONG TIME.
Basically the rest of the weeks, I studied? Well, I missed out my midterm and tasmik, begged my Madam to give me another chance.
On my last week was the best I think. I get to play counter strike 1.6 (ver) with my brother and my cousins. I played Dota 1 too! It was really hard tho. I went to Big Bad Wolf and bought books and I'm back in the Cat city. meow.
